On Sunday’s I am going to post an upcoming event in the sustainable and slow fashion community in 2019. The first event is The Canvas Williamsburg Emporium opening.
I have written about The Canvas and Querencia Studio before, but for first-time readers this is brand new collective in Brooklyn New York that features curated sustainable designers. Specifically The Canvas was erected as a multipurpose space and hosting facility aimed at addressing the United Nations sustainable development goals.
My brand and sustainable jewelry designers I curated were featured in their pop-up in November, but they are constantly updating their collections and finding cool new sustainable designers to feature.
Their brand-new warehouse space is located just off the L train on Bedford Avenue and they are having another opening at the beginning of February. The vast open space with high ceilings and exposed brick is a fitting space for these emerging brands.
The new opening in 2019 features the following designers. The lovely ladies who run the event are from Amsterdam, but they are pioneering the sustainable fashion movement in NYC. Browse through the brands and stop by on Monday Feb 11.
All of the designers follow ethical and sustainable practices :). Here are some of my favorite items.
Wool For Millicent Headband – Wool For Millicent – $50
Osier – De Pijp Bag – $310
