Sao Paolo

Sao Paolo

I am very excited to have my boyfriend’s mother, Rosa, here visiting for the next couple of weeks. She flew in from Sao Paolo and arrived this morning  — she only speaks Portuguese, and I only speak English but I am doing my best to converse through google translate!

Rosa brought me the most beautiful earrings and swimsuit from there. She was telling me how everything is sustainable in Sao Paolo and that a lot of beauty and fashion brands are conscious of how everything is sourced.  I decided to do a little research on Brazilian jewelers and here I found 3 beautiful designers that I would like to share

Sylvia Furmanovich

Sylvia’s jewelry is inspired but tropical rain forests of Brazil. She mixed precious and semi-precious materials in her work such as gold and diamonds with seashells and wood. She also purposefully collaborates with skilled artisans to create original pieces that are nothing like whats already out there.

Her latest project is called Botanical and it is inspired by her trips to the rainforest and the amazing flowers and plants that she found there.

Lokal

The designs are light and colorful which will give that extra pop of color to any outfit.

Anna Khouri

I absolutely love love love Anna Khouris jewelry. It is more expensive and from fine materials. She specializes in rings and ear cuffs. Her jewelry is made out of fine materials which makes it a bit more expensive.

RAUTI jewelry

FARM is a very famous Brazilian brand that does a lot of collaborations with artisans and other brands. It is notorious for expressing brazils vibrancy and beauty.

Tonight we are going to Casa Enrique which is a Michelin star restaurant near our apartment in Long Island City.

It has a simple and very quaint looking interior, but the food is supposed to be delicious.

She also brought me some amazing jewelry that I am excited to share with everyone. For now check out these brands!
